About krista
Krista began working in the hair industry in 2000 after graduating from Elegante Cosmetology school in Southern California. When she moved to Maryland in 2010, Krista took on a new and exciting challenge when she decided to teach cosmetology. She taught future hairdressers and barbers for three years at the ColorLab in Belair, MD, all while working behind her own salon chair on nights and weekends.
In 2013, Krista had the opportunity to open her own private salon and immediately jumped at the chance. As the owner and operator of Krista’s Hair Designs she specializes in color, color correction, precision haircutting, formal styles, updos, keratin smoothing treatments and extensions. She continues to expand her knowledge in the industry by attending extensive in-person and online continuing education courses, such as those led by Sasoon and Wella. She also attends hair shows in Los Angeles and Manhattan to stay on top of current trends and techniques.
More than anything, Krista loves creating individualized looks and styles for her clients. She’d be delighted to take you for a spin in her chair to see what hair magic she can create for you!
